A Practical Study on the Design of Huaiyang Folklore Activities from the Perspective of Image Narrative

Purpose: This paper analyses Huaiyang folk activities in the light of theories related to image narration, and explores the methods and design practices of image narration strategies applicable to Huaiyang folk activities.Methods: By analysing Huaiyang folk activities from the four levels of narration content, narration plot, narration medium and narration design of image narration strategy, this paper explores the methodology and design practice of image narration strategy applicable to Huaiyang folk activities.Analyse the specific methods of image narration of Huaiyang folklore activities and summarize the complete narrative structure of Huaiyang folklore activities.Combined with the combing of keywords of Huaiyang folklore elements, the visual transformation of them in the form of illustration is used to explore the cultural innovation and development path of local folklore activities.Conclusion: The design practice and application of Huaiyang folklore activity image narration is completed through the image narration strategy model, which adds a new carrier for local folklore culture.It gives a new visual expression to the Huaiyang folk activities recorded in the text, and develops a new design perspective and cultural memory.It provides theoretical methods and design references for the translation of the same type of local folk activities into visual design.
