About ideological realism
In this article, the author attempts to draw the logic of that form of thinking, which can be called “ideological realism”. M. Boyko's article on Y. Mamleev's “metaphysical realism” as a literary trend is used as a point of repulsion. Boyko tries to assert the essence of “metaphysical realism”, although giving it a different name. The author of the article suggests considering literary trends in connection with the logic of the socio-cultural organization of human existence. The strategies of this organization are seen as something that is projected onto human creativity and creates the essence of the “isms” manifested in various forms of art. The essence of such concepts as “critical realism” and “metaphysical realism” is considered through the logic of the socio-cultural revolution of modernity and counter-modernist returns. The concept of “ideological realism” is introduced, which can combine all attempts to project symbolic realities onto the “natural”, material-objective and socio-psychological world. The article analyzes the complicated logic of “disenchantment of the world” and “new enchantments”, which is the essence of the deployment of modernity and attempts to return to pre-modern reality. The emphasis is on the non-reflexive nature of “metaphysical realism”, on its tendency to ignore the socio-cultural logic of modernity, which creates the potential for a simple return to an “ideological” society and a “metaphysical” version of “ideological realism”.
