CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM PARA UM PACIENTE HOSPITALIZADO COM EXTRAVASAMENTO POR GASTROSTOMIA: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA NO INTERNATO

ABSTRACT Objective: To report the experience of an intern regarding nursing procedures for a patient hospitalized due to complications in gastrostomy. Experience report: During their training, experience within the routines of health services is essential for future nurses to have space to develop themselves according to what is attributed to their profession. In some disease processes, the impairment of the individual’s essential physiological functions is observed, which can lead to interventions proposed with the purpose of improving their quality of life. In invasive procedures such as gastrostomy, there is the possibility of complications, such as peristomal dermatitis and ostium infection. The nursing team is expected to be trained and to perform the nursing process prioritizing scientific basis and ethical principles. Final considerations: Individualized assessment is essential for a better prognosis in the disease process. Regarding nursing, a careful and qualified approach is essential to meet the demands of the patient, in order to promote their well-being and recovery. Keywords: Nursing Care, Gastrostomy, Nursing Baccalaureate, Clinical Clerkship.
