Self-adjoint extensions of linear Hamiltonian differential systems and discrete symplectic systems: unified

Abstract Linear relations associated with dynamic symplectic systems on an arbitrary time scale are introduced, and all self-adjoint extensions of the corresponding minimal linear relation are characterized. This provides a unification and significant extension to any time scale of analogous results for linear Hamiltonian differential systems and discrete symplectic systems published in the last decades.

Abstract

Abstract Linear relations associated with dynamic symplectic systems on an arbitrary time scale are introduced, and all self-adjoint extensions of the corresponding minimal linear relation are characterized. This provides a unification and significant extension to any time scale of analogous results for linear Hamiltonian differential systems and discrete symplectic systems published in the last decades.
