Some aspects of the country’s food security under sanctions and embargoes

The article outlines approaches to the formation and assessment of the main components of food security and the availability of food products to the population at the national level. The contribution of the agricultural sector to food security and the formation of agro-food resources has been revealed. Among other things, the contribution of certain categories of agricultural producers was assessed. The research uses traditional economic methods, including analysis and synthesis, and comparison. The research was based on the works of Russian scientists, materials from Rosstat and the Central Union of the Russian Federation. The mechanisms of increasing production and formation of food resources with the participation of consumer cooperation are proposed. It was noted that the problems of food supply have become particularly acute in the context of sanctions and embargoes.
