Criteria of assessment of the effectiveness of private investors in the financial instruments market

Currently, private investors, especially individuals, face the difficult task of investing wisely in various financial instruments in order to save them from inflation and, if possible, increase them. The problem of saving one’s funds from inflation has become particularly acute recently, as the rate of inflation has increased, especially for basic necessities (groceries, utilities, transport, etc.). In addition, today, more than ever, the investment market in Russia has been overwhelmed by a wave of fraud, when various criminal groups, taking advantage of the low financial literacy of the population, impose questionable financial schemes, actually relying on private investors. Moreover, fraudsters very often promise fantastic interest rates and unrealistic returns, and as a result, a fairly large number of individuals, most of whom do not have financial education, often fall for these tricks with all the consequences that follow from this (loss of funds, all kinds of loan fraud, etc.). Hence, today there is an acute problem of clearly formulating criteria for evaluating the activities of private investors in the financial instruments market. This will make it possible to understand the prospects of investing in certain financial instruments that currently fill the Russian financial market and objectively evaluate various investment proposals.
