Comparative Evaluation of Methods for Laboratory Diagnostics of Fungal Diseases of the Skin and soft Tissue
It is reasonable to study the methods used in the diagnosis of fungal diseases of the skin and soft tissues, which cause a medical and social problem today, and evaluate them according to the main criteria. Although microscopic research methods are widely used, approximate data can be obtained using this method. This method confirms the presence or absence of fungal disease in a short period of time. Since the sensitivity of PCR tests is limited to specific species, the analysis will accurately identify only those species. Growing cultures in nutrient media also provides accurate information, but it takes a long time.
