SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACT OF REGIONAL SPORTS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION ON PUBLIC HEALTH AND LABOR PRODUCTIVITY
The article is devoted to the analysis of the socio-economic impact of regional sports and physical education on public health and labor productivity. The main objective of the study is to identify the relationship between physical activity, morbidity and economic efficiency, as well as to assess the role of investments in sports infrastructure. The paper uses methods of statistical analysis, comparative data analysis, as well as the study of existing government strategies and corporate initiatives for the development of physical activity among the population. The authors conclude that regions with a high level of population involvement in physical education demonstrate a relatively low incidence rate, which helps reduce the burden on the healthcare system and social benefits. The development of sports infrastructure has a positive impact on labor productivity growth by reducing sick days, increasing the physical and psycho-emotional stability of employees. In addition, investments in mass sports and the holding of major sporting events contribute to attracting investment, developing tourism and creating jobs.
