DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES OF BANKS

The article systematizes the main stages of development of banking innovations and identifies two main stages: the stage of complex automation and the stage of complex financial services. The types of banking innovations are systematized; the relationship between the concepts of “financial” and “banking innovations” is systematized. The main approaches to defining the concept of “banking innovation” are considered and the author’s definition of the term “banking innovations” is given. The main trends and tendencies of development of the market of innovative banking services are systematized.
