CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUPPLY SYSTEM OF THE INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE

Effective construction of procurement activity is one of the main conditions for increasing the competitiveness of the enterprise. Dynamism and instability of the external environment force industrial enterprises to rethink the policy in relation to supply, to search for more reliable suppliers, cheap but high-quality raw materials, to study the problem of resource utilization efficiency. Among the typical problems in procurement faced by many Russian companies are the following: functional disconnection of suppliers and internal customers, inefficient organizational models and business processes, insufficient level of skills and breadth of coverage, incorrect prioritization and zones of responsibility in finding and eliminating bottlenecks. The ever-expanding area of functional responsibility requires a proactive position of industrial enterprises in supply activities. It becomes necessary to create a flexible organizational structure, monitoring system, logistics coordination and controlling. This will allow both to obtain reasonable data on the current state of supply for making managerial decisions on reorganization of production and economic activities, and to identify key indicators for assessing the contribution and leverage of supply activities. The article reveals modern approaches to the formation of the supply system at the industrial enterprise, gives the characteristics of supply activity from the point of view of the system approach, defines the characteristics of the cycles of business processes of supply at different levels of management: strategic, tactical, operational, gives the features of industrial production supply, classifies the groups of purchased resources, gives the practice of supply organization at Russian industrial enterprises.
