Exploring Consciousness Beyond Carbon-based Life: Integrating Quantum Phenomena, Holographic Principles, and Multiverse Theories
This study explores the hypothesis that consciousness may transcend carbon-based life through principles of quantum entanglement, the holographic principle, orchestrated objective reduction (Orch-OR), and the multiverse hypothesis. In this regard, the interconnections between these theories and their implications for understanding consciousness were investigated. A Bayesian statistical framework was employed, establishing a prior probability of 0.5. Likelihood estimations were derived from empirical data related to the four key theories, culminating in a posterior probability assessment. Significant correlations were found, with a posterior probability of 0.72 supporting the hypothesis. Participants reported transformative experiences aligned with the theoretical constructs. The findings suggest a compelling framework for understanding consciousness beyond carbon-based life, highlighting the need for further research in this emerging field. The study’s reliance on theoretical frameworks may limit empirical validation, and the subjective nature of consciousness experiences introduces variability in participant reports.
