Ensuring legality as the foundation of legal security

The study explores the interdependence between legality and legal security, emphasizing the importance of respecting and protecting legality in the construction of a stable and effective rule of law. Legality, defined as strict adherence to laws and legal norms, is presented as an essential foundation of legal security, as it guarantees the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms. In this context, the study elaborates on fundamental concepts such as ensuring legality, violating legality, guaranteeing legality, protecting citizens’ rights, and maintaining public order, all of which play a crucial role in strengthening public trust in the legal system. In conclusion, it is stated that legal security can only be achieved through the respect for legality and the consolidation of a clear and effective normative framework, which is essential for the development of a solid rule of law and for citizens’ trust in state institutions. Thus, the promotion and protection of legality are not only legal obligations but also social imperatives that contribute to the stability and progress of a democratic society.
