THE USE OF HISTORICAL MATERIAL IN TEACHING NATURAL SCIENCE SUBJECTS TO STUDENTS OF THE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The article offers a rationale for the feasibility and utility of applying the principle of historism in the professional training of future teachers. The authors consider the ways of using historical material in the teaching of natural science subjects to students of pedagogical university and offer recommendations for teachers on selecting and including information from the history of science and education in the curriculum.
