NEGOTIATIONS AS A METHOD OF REGULATING CONFLICT IN AN ORGANIZATION

The article examines the role of organization as a key element of the social structure in modern society, focusing on the analysis of conflicts within organizational formations. It highlights that conflicts are a natural phenomenon accompanying the development of organizations and reflecting the dynamics of change. The study defines an organization as a social group that unites individuals to achieve common goals by coordinating their activities and directing them in the necessary direction. Given this perspective, an organization functions as a system whose primary task is to establish effective relationships that contribute to the realization of strategic and tactical objectives. The article identifies the primary causes of conflicts in organizations, classifying them into three main groups: the nature of interaction, interpersonal relationships, and individual characteristics of participants. It also explores the typology of conflicts and their possible outcomes, including concession by one party, compromise, distancing from the collective, or joint problem-solving strategies. The ability of an organization to effectively neutralize socially negative conflicts serves as an indicator of its corporate culture. A strong corporate culture fosters an environment where employees openly discuss conflicts, identify their causes, and seek solutions. This contributes to the development of new interaction models that help constructively respond to disagreements and maintain a healthy working atmosphere. A significant focus is placed on conflict resolution methods, emphasizing negotiations as a fundamental tool for addressing disputes. The article explores different approaches to negotiation, distinguishing between direct and mediated negotiations, as well as bilateral and multilateral formats. Additionally, it discusses alternative strategies for conflict resolution, including avoidance tactics, power-based interventions, and rationalization of relationships. The study highlights the role of communication strategies in reducing conflict intensity and preventing unnecessary escalation. The research underscores the importance of effective conflict management, which not only minimizes negative consequences but also transforms conflicts into a driving force for organizational growth. By implementing well-structured negotiation techniques and fostering a culture of open dialogue, organizations can optimize their decision-making processes, enhance communication, and strengthen collaboration among team members. Constructive conflict resolution, therefore, serves as a crucial component of sustainable organizational development and long-term success.
