Deconfinement of magnetized quark matter in a quasiparticle description

The thermal deconfinement transition of quark matter in a strong magnetic field is studied in a quasiparticle model. The new effective bag function is proposed to represent the thermo-magnetic vacuum in quark phase, which demonstrates the magnetic catalysis vacuum energy. The critical temperature is described as a decreasing function of the magnetic field, which is in accordance with the inverse magnetic catalysis effect. As a crude model, our approach could miss the nature of the crossover. However, based on the equal pressure in the continuous crossover, we predict the behavior consistent with the Lattice result at an intermediate coupling constant. Moreover, the critical temperature only saturates at small coupling in the ultra-strong magnetic field.
