Analysis of the dynamics of land use change in the Solo-Semarang corridor in 2011-2023

Abstract Urban growth and population growth are a consequence of the increasing need for land resources in urban areas, which impacts land use changes from agricultural to non-agricultural. This study analyzes the dynamics and changes in land use in the Solo-Semarang corridor in 2011-2023. The analysis method used is satellite image analysis with a guided classification approach to obtain a classification of land use types and areas. The classifications obtained are then analyzed using overlay analysis between land uses in 2011-2023 to determine the changes in land use that occurred. The results are that the Solo-Semarang corridor’s land use is dominated by agricultural land and settlements. Land use changes in the Solo-Semarang corridor are dominated by changes from agricultural land to settlement in each period of change.
