Mujer y Mananta
The Holy Week of Puente Genil, called “Mananta”, for centuries and through its biblical corporations or “barracks” established a series of norms and practices aimed exclusively at men, leaving women as mere spectators of their religious representations in public roads. Over the years, these practices have been transformed and redefined, including women in them for 26 years, but not together, something that is important to analyze to try to understand if there is true inclusion or they have only been given a role of women to shape the sociocultural norms in which we find ourselves immersed currently with gender and equality law.
