Analysis of Landslide Vulnerability Level in Gedangsari Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency Based on Geographic Information System

Abstract Landslides occur due to several factors such as land use, geology, soil type, rainfall, and slope gradient. Areas with hilly topography are usually prone to landslide disasters. This study utilizes overlay and scoring methods. The overlay method combines five map parameters: slope gradient map, soil type map, rainfall map, land use map, and geological map. These five map parameters are then overlaid using ArcGIS software. After the overlay process is complete, scoring is performed to assign numerical values to the overlay results. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of landslide susceptibility in Gedangsari Subdistrict. The processing of overlay and scoring for the landslide susceptibility map in Gedangsari Subdistrict revealed three levels of susceptibility: low, moderate, and high. The moderate susceptibility level dominates with an area of 43.818 km 2 , followed by the high susceptibility level covering 17.68 km 2 , and the low susceptibility level covering 5.115 km 2 . For more accurate results, it is recommended to include field accuracy testing and validation of the resulting maps. This map can serve as a disaster mitigation recommendation for the government or future research.
