Research on FPGA based BDS positioning system for paving machine
Abstract In response to the problems of insufficient accuracy and poor real-time performance in traditional paver positioning systems, this paper proposes a BDS(Beidou Navigation Satellite System) positioning technology based on FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). Using FPGA as the central processing system, the analysis of BDS messages is completed. Based on Gaussian Luger projection and plane four parameter conversion method, coordinate conversion is implemented in FPGA to convert latitude and longitude information into CGCS2000(China Geodetic Coordinate System 2000) geodetic coordinates, which are then converted into the construction coordinate system of the paver. At the same time, the use of Kalman filtering algorithm improved the accuracy of the data. Finally, upload the relevant data to the LabVIEW upper computer to achieve remote monitoring of the device. To verify the accuracy of the plan, a testing platform was established to simulate actual road construction and validate the system performance. The results indicate that the system has significantly improved in both accuracy and real-time performance, meeting the high requirements for positioning accuracy and real-time performance during the construction process of pavers.
