Nonlinear structures in collisional magnetized plasmas: Impact of regularized Kappa distributed electrons
The nonlinear structure of the ion-acoustic (IA) waves is studied in a collisional magnetized plasma (CMP) with regularized Kappa distributed electrons. Korteweg-de Vries (K-dV) and damped K-dV ion-acoustic solitons are investigated by using the reductive perturbation method. It is shown that the nonlinear IA waves with positive and negative amplitude can be supported in the present model. The effect of spectral index κ, cutoff parameter α, ion-neutral collision frequency ν0, and wave propagation angle θ on the properties of IA solitons are studied. The results given in this study are valid for all values of κ>0 and may be useful in the understanding of the nonlinear structures in a space plasma where regularized Kappa distributed electrons are assumed.
