Research of regular automatic calibration technology for HV cable PD online monitoring detector
The existing calibration methods for partial discharge (PD) online monitoring devices are time-consuming, labor-intensive, inflexible, and incapable of automatically determining calibration results. This paper proposes an automatic calibration system for PD online monitoring in cables, designed to meet the requirements of “calibration automation and practical application” by integrating advanced hardware and software technologies. The system comprises a highfrequency pulse current sensor, a calibration device, control software, and an evaluation and prediction model. The calibration device simulates various PD and noise signals, while the sensor’s dual coils and ports enable accurate calibration signal injection and high-sensitivity PD detection. The software employs multi-threading technology to enable distributed control and flexible calibration, supported by a model that evaluates the detection effectiveness of online monitoring devices and predicts anomalies. An application test on a high-voltage cable in Shanghai demonstrates that the system effectively identifies monitoring device issues and provides timely alarms, ensuring the reliability of online monitoring.
