Research on Regulatory Strategies for Microgrids with Wind and Solar Energy Storage in the Electricity Spot Market
Microgrids have the characteristics of flexible regulation and independent operation from the main grid. As the proportion of renewable energy consumption increases, the operating cost of microgrids will also increase, and the stability of operation will also decrease. In order to control the operation cost of the microgrid and enhance the consumption of wind power and photovoltaic, a microgrid day ahead regulation strategy considering wind and solar energy storage and an optimization model for renewable energy consumption is proposed. By writing a simulation program and using an improved particle swarm algorithm with a penalty term to solve the optimization model, the simulation results show that the operating costs of microgrids are reduced by allowing wind and solar power to be abandoned and energy storage to participate. Pursuing renewable energy consumption rates blindly will actually increase costs.
