Research on Flexible Resource Complementary Synergistic Strategy to Cope with Line Overload Problems in Power Systems

In response to the issue of regional overloaded power grid lines due to the increasing proportion of distributed new energy access, this paper designs a strategy for cooperatively regulating multivariate flexible resource by considering the complementary space between the flexible resource regulation characteristics and the uncertainty of the flexible resource response. Firstly, this paper analyzes the line overload problem caused by the access of distributed new energy to the regional grid. Subsequently, this paper analyzes the differences between the regulatory characteristics of flexible resources and the uncertainty of the regulation capability of flexible resources. Then, based on the differences between the regulation characteristics of flexible resources, the complementary space between the flexible resources is used to establish a preliminary screening mechanism. This would reduce the complexity of optimization by constructing a matrix of the available time periods of the flexible resources and a matrix of resource complementary regulation, then combine the solutions to those two matrices and screening out some resources. Furthermore, establish a multivariate flexible resource cooperative regulation optimization model with the goal of minimizing the economic cost and the constraints of regional grid operation and resource regulation characteristics. Then, the uncertainty of flexible resource response is fully considered and a rolling correction strategy of regulation instruction is designed. This correction strategy effectively reduces the impact of flexible resource uncertainty on the final regulation effect by rolling out optimization instructions and using resources with smaller uncertainty to compensate for the resource response error in the previous time period and the power deviation caused by grid disturbance. Finally, the feasibility of this strategy is validated through case studies.
