A Pumped Storage Capacity Planning Method Considering Variable Speed Pumped Storage Unit Characteristics And Frequency Safety
In view of the randomness and uncertainty of renewable energy output in the new energy power system, and to better play the advantages of the new variable-speed pumped storage units in peak shifting, valley filling and frequency regulation, this paper analyzes the frequency response of the power system including thermal power units, wind power, PV and variable-speed pumped storage units, and firstly establishes a typical daily source load scenario output scheduling model considering frequency safety, and dispatches the output of each unit in the system including pumped storage on a short time scale. On the basis of ensuring the safe supply of electricity, it reduces the daily operating cost. From a long-term perspective, the capacity planning of variable speed pumped storage needs to consider the cost of construction and maintenance, so this paper establishes a two-layer optimization model of pumped storage unit capacity allocation considering the long-term total cost on the basis of optimal scheduling. Finally, a case study is carried out to solve the optimal pumped storage construction capacity and output planning of the current system.
