Experimental study on the thermal conductivity of graphene nanofluids based on deionized water

Abstract We prepared graphene nanoparticle (GNP) nanofluids with deionized water as the base liquid. The thermal conductivity of GNP nanofluids depends on the number of GNP layers, GNP concentration, and liquid pH values were studied by the 3 ω method separately. The experiments show the thermal conductivity of the nanofluids is positively correlated with the concentration of GPN particles, the number of layers, and the temperature of the base liquid. It was found the influence of the pH value of the base fluid on the thermal conductivity of nanofluids shows a parabolic trend, and the thermal conductivity reaches the maximum at pH 8.
