Numerical simulation of post-fire seismic performances scoria aggregate concrete joints
In order to analyse the post-fire seismic performances of scoria aggregate concrete (SAC) beamcolumn joints precisely and effectively, a finite element model (FEM) was developed to simulate the seismic behaviour of SAC beam-column joints after fire. Sequential Thermal-Seismic analysis was performed using ABAQUS. spring elements were applied to simulate the bond–slip behaviour with material degradation due to fire damage also being modelled. The simulation results were compared with the available test data. It is proved that the FEM built was accurate and provided efficient solutions for evaluating the seismic performance of post-fire beam-column joints.
