Sources of metaphorization in the inner form of terms (based on the material of financial and economic terms of the Russian language)
The aim of the research is the systematization of source domains of metaphorization, expressed in the inner form of financial and economic terms. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that, for the first time, based on the material of lexicographical sources and using the method of statistical content analysis, financial and economic terms of the Russian language are examined from the point of view of metaphorical conceptualization of the corresponding concepts, reflected in the inner form of terminological units. As a result of the research, the source domains of the considered metaphorical terms are identified, classified, and illustrated, and the frames and slots representing them are determined. It is statistically established that the dominant source of metaphorical term formation in the financial and economic subject area is the domain "Human" (the anthropomorphic metaphor accounts for 39% of the entire sample of examples); the source domains "Physical Properties", "Space", "Nature", and "Artifact" are also important. It has been revealed that, within the framework of the metaphorical conceptualization of financial and economic concepts, an important role is played by explicit oppositions of an axiological (positive/negative) and functional nature (qualitative, spatial, quantitative oppositions, etc.), manifested in term elements in the composition of two-component terms, which is explained both by the high degree of abstractness of financial and economic concepts and by the desire for their detail through concretizing elements.
