Association Of High Sensitivity C – Reactive Protein With Hba1c And Microalbuminuria In Type 2 DM Patients.

Diabetes is one of the most widespread non-communicable diseases, impacting nearly 7% of the global population. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by persistent high blood sugar levels, leading to disruptions in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. This is case control analytical study carried out on 100 diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients (100 Diabetic Patients and 100 non-diabetic patients). The subjects enrolled for the study were further grouped based on the hsCRP Level. The hsCRP is significantly higher in diabetic patient (P=<0.001).  The study recommends that hsCRP estimation may serve as a valuable screening tool for identifying inflammation-related complications in both diabetic and non-diabetic individuals.
