Impedance regulation capability evaluation of renewable energy converters participating in power quality improvement

This paper focuses on the advancement of photovoltaic inverter impedance modeling methodologies, building upon the topology and control strategies of photovoltaic generation systems. An enhanced impedance modeling approach is proposed, addressing the nonlinear characteristics inherent in the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) process. This modified model refines traditional inverter series impedance modeling techniques, significantly boosting model accuracy and applicability. By better capturing the dynamic behaviors of renewable energy generation equipment, this improved model demonstrates its adaptability to various grid conditions. The findings underscore the model's potential as a reliable analytical tool for grid operation and control, ultimately facilitating more effective integration of solar energy into power systems.
