Transient short-circuit current analysis of a flexible converter station that includes control response process
The new energy base is delivered through the flexible direct converter station. When a metallic three-phase fault occurs, the fault characteristics of the flexible converter station are unclear and difficult to calculate. Therefore, this paper analyzes the control strategy of the flexible converter station, and proposes a short-circuit current calculation method considering the control response link of the flexible straight converter station. The test results show that the calculation error of the proposed method is less than 5% in different fault scenarios, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
