An economic dispatch method for industrial users considering integrated demand response and shared energy storage

In the face of the global energy transition and mounting environmental challenges, the optimization of industrial energy management has emerged as a critical imperative. Existing research frequently neglects the integration of demand response (DR) and shared energy storage (SES). This paper introduces an economic dispatch method tailored for industrial users, which leverages the flexibility of DR and the benefits of SES. Through the categorization of industrial loads and the formulation of the refined load model and economic dispatching model, the method ensures power balance, accommodates operational constraints, and optimizes economic performance. Simulation results underscore the significant cost reductions and enhanced photovoltaics (PV) energy utilization achieved through SES integration, emphasizing the importance of integrating DR and SES in industrial users to address environmental concerns and facilitate the energy transition.
