Transmission line congestion mitigation oriented unit commitment considering polytope-based electric vehicle aggregation
In recent years, the integration of large-scale new energy brings operation uncertainties to the power grid, where the rapid increase of new energy output can cause serious transmission line congestion, thus reducing the system operation economy and security. In this paper, considering the controllable scheduling flexibility of electric vehicle (EV), a transmission line congestion mitigation oriented unit commitment method is proposed. Firstly, a polytope-based EV approximate aggregation method is introduced, which can optimize large-number electric vehicles under both computation tractability and aggregation accuracy. Then, considering a variety of adjustable resources of the power grid, a collaborative unit commitment model is proposed to alleviate the transmission burden of the power grid, which can also improve regional renewable energy consumption rate and reduce load shedding. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed model is verified by the improved IEEE6 bus system and improved IEEE14 bus system.
