Parameter feasible space based analysis of virtual inertia and frequency regulation characteristics of PV-ES integrated generators
In order to improve the frequency dynamic and steady-state characteristics of the photovoltaic-energy storage (PV-ES) integrated generator connected to the power grid, and provide intuitive guidance for the design of control parameters, a virtual inertia and frequency regulation characteristic analysis method based on parameter feasible space is proposed in this paper. Fully considering the system overall operational requirements, the inherent constraints and interaction with the power system of the PV-ES integrated generator, the constraint indicators such as rate of change of frequency, the maximum frequency deviation after disturbance, the maximum power output of the PV-ES integrated generator, and the frequency modulation energy within 15s are proposed. On this basis, the parameter feasible space of permeability-virtual inertia-primary frequency regulation gain that satisfies the above constraints under different permeabilities is characterized, by which the influence of permeability on control parameters can be revealed, and the optimization design of control parameters can be guided intuitively from the three-dimensional space perspective. Eventually, a model of IEEE 10-machines 39-bus system connected with PV-ES integrated generators is built in PSCAD/EMTDC to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
