An island detection method based on improved droop control
The current islanding detection methods are mainly divided into three types: remote islanding detection, passive islanding detection, and active islanding detection. Through analysis, it is found that they are not suitable for droop control inverters. Based on this, an improved droop control is proposed to achieve islanding detection, and a simulation model is built in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the proposed method. This method improves the droop control by adding the voltage change to the frequency change through the droop control equation, eliminating the non detected zone of passive over/under frequency islanding detection methods and improving sensitivity.
