Distributed energy management for an electricity-heat-hydrogen integrated energy system based on ADMM
With the development of hydrogen energy and decarbonization goals, there is an increasing focus on the energy management of electricity-heat-hydrogen systems. This paper establishes an energy management framework of an electricity-heat-hydrogen integrated energy system based on ADMM, where the operator supplies both electricity and heat to the prosumers, while the prosumers provide the operator with hydrogen generated from excess energy. The diverse utilization of hydrogen including hydrogen compressed natural gas (HCNG), power-to-hydrogen (P2H), and hydrogen storage is integrated into the electricity-heat-hydrogen optimization model, which facilitates the integration of renewable energy sources. The optimization model of the operator that incorporates the diverse utilization of hydrogen, and the model of prosumers with flexible electrical and thermal loads are established. Based on ADMM framework, a distributed optimal scheduling model and an iterative algorithm based on ADMM are proposed. In the distributed iterative process, optimization can be accomplished with only minimal information sharing, which safeguards the privacy of both the prosumers and the operator. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by a case study.
