A blockchain-based carbon footprint analysis method for overhead insulated lines in 10kV distribution network
Overhead insulated lines generate a large amount of carbon emissions during their lifecycle. Improving the carbon footprint assessment methodology for overhead insulated lines is an important strategy to promote the sustainable development of the power industry and accelerate the realization of the carbon neutral goal. This paper pr oposes a carbon footprint calculation model for overhead insulated lines and designs a blockchain-based carbon footprint accounting system, which effectively improves the accuracy and credibility of carbon footprint data for overhead insulated lines. It also presents a comprehensive analysis of the carbon footprint of a aluminium conductor crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated aerial cable and demonstrates that more than ninety percent of carbon emissions are generated during the operational phase due to power losses.
