Fault characteristics analysis based on PV module parameter identification

In order to identify the important parameters of photovoltaic cells by using the operating data of photovoltaic panels, and t o diagnose the operating state by these parameters, the Ivy algorithm was used to obtain the optimal solutions of the five unknown parameters of the single diode model of silicone-based photovoltaic cells: photogenerated current, diode reverse saturation current, diode ideal factor, series resistance and parallel resistance. Four common faults, such as shadow, aging, short circ uit and open circuit, were analysed theoretically and simulated. Through simulation verification, the five parameters of the PV single-diode model were compared with the four typical fault types according to the parameter changes in the identification results, and the corresponding relationship between the five parameters and the four typical fault types was obtained. Moreover, the variation rules of each output of the PV module under different fault types were obtained. It provides reference for the fault identification of photovoltaic cells and the judgment of battery performance.
