A novel islanding switching method of distribution systems based on source-grid-load-storage coordination
With the development of modern power grids towards intelligence and diversification, the islanding operation mode of the distribution system, which disconnects from the higher-level power grid under extreme events, faces frequency stability issues. To solve the problems of insufficient resource management and difficulty in controlling transient frequencies during the islanding process of traditional distribution systems, this paper proposes a new islanding method for distribution systems based on source-grid-load-storage coordination to address frequency stability issues during islanding operations. By integrating historical, real-time, and predictive data, the method evaluates the status of power sources, controllable loads, energy storage, and interconnection lines. A mixed integer linear programming model is used for online real-time islanding switching to minimize power imbalance, costs, and load loss. Faults are detected via Fourier and wavelet transforms, and predictive control adjusts power and load to maintain frequency stability. Experimental results show improved flexibility, and reduced frequency deviations, ensuring reliable power supply for critical loads.
