Multi-timescale scheduling of hydrogen-integrated renewable energy systems with decoupled linear power flow and demand response
This paper presents a multi-time scale scheduling method aimed at optimizing the integration of renewable energy (RE) in modern power systems. Firstly, a power grid scheduling strategy that considers power generation, power flow, energy storage and load is proposed. At the generation side, the system considers the coordinated scheduling of a renewable wind power system and an electric-hydrogen storage system. On the grid side, a decoupled linear power flow (DLPF) model is employed for faster and more accurate computations. On the load side, price-based and incentive-based demand response (DR) is introduced to enhance the operational flexibility of the power system. Secondly, a multi-scale hierarchical optimization method is designed to mitigate the impact of RE forecast errors. The method combines day-ahead scheduling with intra-day rolling operations followed by real-time adjustments to form a coordinated multilevel control strategy. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by an improved IEEE 30-node system, which shows that the scheduling scheme can improve the operational efficiency and the utilization of RE.
