Simplified equivalent method for high proportion new energy DC sending end grid

With the large-scale integration of renewable energy, power grids are gradually facing issues of insufficient voltage support capability, especially in regions where DC sending end renewable energy is concentrated. Various multi-mode voltage stability problems frequently arise. However, relying solely on existing grid equivalence methods cannot simultaneously simplify the grid while meeting the simulation accuracy requirements of power systems with a high proportion of renewable energy. To reduce system scale while ensuring simulation accuracy, this paper proposes a simplified equivalent method for high proportion renewable energy DC sending end grids to address this issue. First, the process of establishing the grid equivalence simplification model is introduced. Then, an equivalent structure for typical aggregation stations in high proportion renewable energy grids is proposed, along with an aggregation equivalence method for renewable units. Finally, by comparing the response characteristics of the original model with those of the equivalent model, it is demonstrated that the proposed model equivalence simplification method achieves the equivalent simplification of complex DC sending end grid models.
