Research on market risk-benefit measurement methodology for pumped storage units
In recent years, Regional governments are vigorously carrying out the planning and construction of pumped storage power stations in order to safeguard the capacity of regional renewable energy consumption. With the continuous development of technology, pumped storage power stations will participate in the electricity market as independent trading entities in the future. However, there are fewer studies based on the post-reform electricity market trading. Therefore, this paper is based on the CVaR theory to study the medium and long-term market trading strategy of pumped storage power plants. First, a market risk assessment model is constructed to measure the spot market return. Secondly, the medium-and long-term market trading strategy is introduced to obtain the space allocation method of pumped storage units. Finally, the validity of the model is verified through example simulation, which provides a reference for pumped storage energy to participate in power market trading.
