The Concept of "Faith" and its contrary antipodies (based on the material of Ukrainian fiction)

The conceptual and terminological apparatus of the study of the concept of faith in the worldview of the Ukrainian people, the method of linguistic description of language material are determined by the purpose of the work, the content and nature of the research tasks. The concept of conceptualization is decisive, which we consider as a characteristic conceptual classification of information perceived by a person and interpreted by him with the help of various cognitive mechanisms. The result of conceptualization is the formation of a conceptual system as a network of concepts in the human mind under the influence of the collective consciousness of the ethnic community, its culture and language. A concept is an informational structure of consciousness, which contains a set of verbal and nonverbal knowledge about the object of cognition, acquired through the interaction of the five mental functions of consciousness and the unconscious. Concepts contain individual sensations, feelings, images, mental structures, but they are largely determined by linguistic categorization, processes of socialization, and inculturation. The analysis of the linguistic means of the concept is carried out by using the model of the mental-psychonetic complex, which is an idealized scheme of a fragment of knowledge, in the structure of which there is a propositional-dictum nuclear component, an associative-terminal peripheral part, an end-to-end mode component (evaluations and emotions). At the same time, the specific characterization of the features of the verbal manifestation of the concept takes into account the principle of two-vectority, which consists in the counter analysis "from word to thought" and "from thought to word" and two main procedures: cognitive and onomasiological analysis (determines the motivational mechanisms of this vocabulary group, which are a factor in conceptualization); textual and interpretive analysis. The concept is a direct component of the conceptual picture of the world, which tends towards universality. The peculiarities of the verbal representation of the concept determine the specificity of the content and organization of the linguistic picture of the world, which manifests itself as a nationally distinctive linguistic phenomenon determined by a whole set of different factors.
