EDUCATION OF A NATIONALLY AND PATRIOTICALLY CONSCIOUS LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY BY MEANS OF THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE

The article examines the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of the formation of students' national and civic identity in the Ukrainian language and literature lessons; the importance of educational, informational and educative activities in the Ukrainian language and literature in the context of today's challenges is determined. The effectiveness of national and patriotic education depends on the systematic and consistent educational influences, the use of various forms and methods of work, taking into account the individual characteristics of students and the specifics of the modern information society. Such work requires constant updating and adaptation to the challenges of our time. The development and testing of innovative methods of national-patriotic education that would meet the challenges of the digital age and take into account the peculiarities of national-patriotic education and the perception of information by modern students deserves priority attention. In particular, it is important to study the impact of social media and Internet communication on the formation of a student's linguistic personality. In the view of rapid development of technology, it is important to use elements of gamification and virtual reality in the Ukrainian language and literature. This can open up new horizons in creating engaging and effective educational content for educational purposes, turning potential threats into opportunities. National-patriotic education in educational institutions in different regions of the country should take into account the unequal language stability of schoolchildren due to the Ukrainian realities of the imperial imposition of the Russian language. However, it is important to maintain the unity of the educational space and respect for other languages and cultures. In the context of information warfare and the spread of disinformation, the task of national-patriotic education is to develop media literacy and critical thinking among schoolchildren. We consider it promising to further study the mechanisms of forming national consciousness and patriotism in pupils, to develop an effective strategy for national and patriotic education of schoolchildren in accordance with the challenges of the modern world.
