Combat injuries significantly differ from non-battle injuries. The role of military doctors and the need for both primary emergency medical care and specialized high-tech medical care have increased with the launch of special military operation. Considering the young age of the injured and the life-threatening nature of the injuries, the main criteria for medical care delivery are rapid and early diagnosis, timely and comprehensive treatment, aimed at maintaining the maximum anatomical and functional integrity of the affected organ, preventing the development of possible complications. The article presents own experience of successful surgical treatment of a patient with shrapnel damage to facial soft tissues, nasal bones, intranasal structures and ethmoid air cells.
