Artificial Intelligence and Transgender People Friendly Hiring Practices: Opportunities and Challenges
Artificial intelligence is transforming the way humans work in various fields. It is supporting causes that enrich human lives. Employment accessibility to marginalized people like transgender people is still a challenge. Artificial intelligence helps recruiters ease the hiring process and obtain the right candidates for the job. With diversity, equity and inclusion becoming current norms, this research attempts to comprehend the opportunities that artificial intelligence can provide in enhancing the transgender friendly hiring practices. As technology can be a boon and a bane, the challenges of using artificial intelligence to create transgender friendly hiring practices are discussed. Key themes are explored and summarized from existing literature and industry reports for further empirical dissemination in future. The study is unique in its approach as it focuses on transgender people challenges specifically as opposed to abundant blended studies looking at LGBTQIA+ issues.
