Compact 1:2 Wilkinson Power Divider using Slow-Wave Transmission lines
This paper presents the design of a compact V-shape Wilkinson power divider operating at 2.45 GHz. The miniaturized divider structure is implemented on a double layer substrate (RO4003 and RO4403). Miniaturization is achieved by using slow wave microstrip transmission lines with metallic via holes inserted in the lower substrate layer to create slow-wave effect. The designed power divider presents a 0.1 dB amplitude imbalance and a surface area of 22 x 13 mm2 achieving 40% miniaturization and good electrical performance with respect to state of art.
