Neighborhood Selection for Secure and Efficient Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor Network

Various fields have recognized the significant relevance of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) for their effective data collection from the real environment. A major issue, however, is making sure that data gathering and transfer in WSNs are both secure and efficient. Therefore, current protocols are contrasted with the suggested NSSR's strategic secure real-time trust-aware routing, which seeks to improve security without sacrificing performance and may provide superior data integrity protection. Important metrics for evaluating these protocols include the following: throughput, packet delivery ratio, average amount of hops, end-to-end delay, failure to detect ratio, and false accusation ratio. At the end of the day, this study makes a big splash in the world of WSN advancements, which are crucial for maximizing performance and security in all kinds of applications. Impressively, NSSR achieved the greatest PDR at 96%, surpassing both FAEM (74%) and NPBNS (92%). This demonstrates its efficiency. With each passing iteration of the simulation, NSSR maintains its advantage in PDR. Among the three, NSSR continues to lead with the shortest End-to-End latency at 5.1 seconds, followed by FAEM at 9.0 seconds and NPBNS at 8.4 seconds. This effectiveness remains throughout the simulation, with NSSR continuing to efficiently detect problems while reducing the number of unfounded assertions. The NSSR indicating the best accuracy of 96% in decreasing false charges. Because of its track record of accurate problem identification, NSSR is a great option for WSN applications that need reliable network fault detection.
