Combining HFM Signals for Distance Measurement and Speed Measurement
A single hyperbolic frequency modulation signal (HFM), due to its fuzzy function being in the shape of a “slanted blade”, causes coupling in the time and frequency dimensions, resulting in a delay in the Doppler phenomenon of the moving target in the time dimension. The peak arrival time is superimposed with a delay at the actual arrival time. Due to its “uncertainty principle”, the delay of a single hyperbolic frequency modulation signal cannot be determined. Therefore, this paper proposes to use a combination of HFM to decouple the fuzzy function by fully analyzing the reasons for the delay and the factors related to the delay size. The distance and velocity of the target are accurately calculated using formulas and simulated, which has certain engineering implementation value.
