Dual-Band Four-Port MIMO Antenna Exclusively for K-Narrow and FR2-5G Applications

This research reports a single and quad-port MIMO antenna designed for narrow K-band and 5G-FR2 bands. The antenna occupies area of 36 mm2 and 144 mm2 respectively for single and four-port with substrate thickness of 0.127 mm. The MIMO antenna achieves impedance-bandwidth of 21.18GHz-23.79GHz for application in K-band and 24.21GHz-52.54GHz in 5G-FR2 bands. The MIMO configuration also achieves isolation of more than 15.0dB with commonly-connected ground and inter-spacing between elements of 5.50mm. The antenna offers maximum peak-realized-gain of 4.50dBi with stable radiation patterns. The MIMO configuration also achieves isolation of more than 15.0dB with commonly-connected ground and inter-spacing between elements of 5.50mm.
