Maximizing Light Absorption and Efficiency in AgCdF3-based Perovskite Solar Cells through Front Electrode Transparency
This study particular focuses on its impact on important performance metrics such as VOC, JSC, FF, and PCE, this work aims to improve the performance of PSCs by means of strategic variation of electrode transparency. Maximum light penetration into the PSKs layer is determined by high transparency in the front electrode, thereby improving photogeneration rates and hence JSC and VOC are enabled. This benefit does, however, sometimes have a drawback in conductivity since very transparent materials may show less electrical conductivity, hence raising series resistance and lowering charge collecting efficiency. This can thus affect the PCE generally as well as the FF negatively. The research looks at innovative materials including graphene and carbon nanotubes, which have exceptional conductivity and great transparency, in order to get over these obstacles. Moreover helping to maximize light absorption and charge transfer is the development of hybrid and nanostructured electrodes. These creative electrode designs balance transparency and conductivity to try to lower recombination losses and improve charge extraction efficiency. This study specifically matches the Affordable and Clean Energy and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by helping to create more effective, sustainable, and generally accessible renewable energy options. Future studies will keep improving electrode materials and topologies with an eye toward the interaction between transparency and conductivity to increase PSC performance and thus enable their commercialization and more acceptability in the renewable energy sector.
